Huron Technologies Awarded 1st Prize in Fluorescence Scanning Contest

October 3, 2012 Waterloo, ON – Huron Technologies International Inc., recently was awarded 1st prize in two categories at the 2nd International Scanner Contest (ISC) held in Berlin, Germany and announced in Prague, Czech Republic, at the European Congress of Pathology (ECP) meeting.

Huron Technologies was awarded 1st prize in both categories it entered out of the nine possible categories, namely the 20X Fluorescence and 40X Fluorescence categories. Huron Technologies flagship product – TISSUEscope™ digital slide scanner – which is the most versatile digital scanning instrument in the market, is the award winning system.

The TISSUEscope™ scanner is unique in the industry as it has significant differentiators. The TISSUEscope™ scanner is the only system that offers confocal fluorescence imaging and also has the unique ability to image a wide variety of slide sizes, ranging from 1×3” to as large as 6×8”.
