Huron Digital Pathology Partners with Visiopharm to Provide Industry Leading Image Analysis Software to Customers
Huron Digital Pathology, an innovative provider of whole slide scanners, and Visiopharm, the industry leader of Quantitative Digital Pathology solutions, announce today a non-exclusive distribution agreement in North America for Huron to provide their customers with Visiopharm’s ONCOtopix™ and BIOtopix™ software, along with image analysis algorithms from Visiopharm’s APPCenter.
Visiopharm’s ONCOtopix™ solutions provide efficient, high-throughput quantification of tissue based biomarkers. Biomarkers are essential to cancer diagnostics, drug development, patient stratification in conjunction with clinical trials, and for the development of companion diagnostics. All ONCOtopix™ solutions incorporate Visiopharm’s patented Virtual Double Staining, a novel method for automated, robust and verifiable tumor and stroma separation.
Furthermore, many applications in biology require the analysis of images to test scientific hypotheses and to discover novel targets for therapeutics, diagnostics and assay development. Visiopharm’s BIOtopix™ is a results driven software suite that provides an infinitely configurable toolbox for the design and implementation of image analysis algorithms. From automated tissue detection, to the alignment of serial sections, and through to the subcellular analysis of protein expression, BIOtopix™ is designed to support the scientific research of today and tomorrow.
