Optra Systems today announced the launch of their highly affordable On-Demand Pay-Per-Usage model for its OptraSCANTM Whole Slide Imaging system and End-to-End Digital Pathology solution platform. In order to simplify their workflow, users will have access to all Digital Pathology components via a flexible monthly subscription model.

Optra Systems’ complete Digital Pathology Solution (RUO) includes a cloud-enabled, complimentary compact Whole Slide Imaging scanner, software solutions, cloud-enabled storage and 24/7 service and support.

Complimentary Scanner and Storage

As part of its On-Demand usage model, Optra Systems will provide its customers an OptraSCANTM cloud-enabled, compact high-resolution scanning device with a 20x or 40x Objective Lens and 10-slide or 150-slide scanning capacity, at no upfront cost. The flexible On-Demand monthly subscription model will allow users to choose from customizable slide scanning packages dependent on their lab’s monthly slide throughput.

Software and Service

Along with the scanning device, Optra Systems Digital Pathology software solutions offers the enablement of the following software modules: IMAGEPathTM cloud-based image management system, CLOUDPathTM cloud-based storage of scanned images for 1 TB up to 10 TB of stored image data, web-based applications such as OptraASSAYSTM image analysis solutions, OptraCARDSTM computer-aided region detection for morphometric analyses and OptraTELEPathTM telepathology. All Digital Pathology software solutions are also offered with a customizable monthly subscription model.

Lastly, Service and Support is included in the Optra Systems Digital Pathology package entailing 24/7 service and support—365 days a year.
