The list of pathologist bloggers continues to grow with the start of Primary Care Pathologist by Gregory S. Henderson, MD, PhD from Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, WA where he is President and Partner of Pathology Associates of Kitsap County.
I first heard of Greg long before I met him at the College of American Pathologists (CAP) meeting last year with headlines such as "New Orleans Ritz Carlton Turns Into MASH Unit" and "Katrina turns pathologist into doctor for the masses" that detail Greg's experiences caring for those during Hurricane Katrina in 2005 while he was director of anatomic pathology at Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans. The CAP recognized his efforts with the "Distinguished Patient Care Award".
His e-mail with direct reports from what he saw and heard "Dispatch from the Front" is still harrowing to recount.
Greg doesn't mention any of this on his introductory post and despite his sub-specialty interests in breast and gynecologic pathology, he remains a Primary Care Pathologist.
Look forward to your insights once more from the front lines Greg.
