Nordic Symposium on Digital Pathology, October 30-31, Sweden
Linköping University and the Center for Medical Image Science and Visualization (CMIV) cordially invite you to the first Nordic Symposium on Digital Pathology, October 30-31, 2013 in Linköping, Sweden. The symposium aims to be a venue where health care and science can meet to discuss clinical experiences as well as state-of-the-art technology in the field. Given the prominent role of the Nordic countries in the evolution of digital pathology, we believe that the symposium will be very valuable for several attendee categories: pathologists, image science researchers, clinical managers, and more.
Program
The symposium will have two keynote speakers with outstanding experience in the field:
- Darren Treanor, MD, PhD (Director of the Virtual Pathology Group, Leeds Institute of Molecular Medicine/St James University Hospital, Leeds, UK)
- Anant Madabhushi, PhD (Director of the Center for Computational Imaging & Personalized Diagnostics, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, USA)
The program will include a number of invited talks where you will learn about leading efforts in digital pathology, spanning from large-scale clinical implementations to exciting research outlooks. Whereas many slots are already filled, do not hesitate to suggest a speaker or topic for the symposium to the organizers.
The symposium will also include a “Late breaking” session, where recent clinical and/or scientific efforts in digital pathology, also ongoing projects, will be presented in 10-minute oral sessions and potentially in a prototype demo area. If you wish to contribute to the Late breaking session, you find instructions in the “Submissions” section (see menu to the left).
