API Research Mentor Matching Service
The API Research Mentor Matching Service (API-RMMS) is a combined effort of the API Training and Education Committee and the Research Committee to connect trainees with established research mentors in Pathology Informatics to expose the future of our profession (our trainees) to research in our field. The success of the program is judged based on the number of abstracts submitted to the annual Pathology Informatics meeting (next meeting scheduled for May 2014).
Last year, we had more mentors than trainees apply, so trainees should not be shy about applying for the service.
Last year, the inaugural API-RMMS had seven mentor-trainee matches. Four of these matches resulted in a cumulative total of seven abstracts which were successfully submitted to Pathology Informatics 2012.
If you are a practicing pathologist, PhD or other individual qualified to mentor research and have pathology informatics research that can accommodate incorporation of trainees outside your institution (hereafter called RESEARCH MENTORS)
OR
if you are a trainee (resident, fellow, masters student, medical student, etc.) interested in getting involved in pathology informatics research (hereafter called TRAINEES)…
Please fill out your information using the link below. The deadline is by end of business on October 7, 2013. Thank you for your consideration and participation.
