Tissue microarrays (TMAs) provide an effective means for screening vast quantities of biomarker data; facilitating the evaluation of a number of key determinants in disease states such as prevalence, progression and prognosis across clinical and research assays. The challenge with TMAs has been inefficient image acquisition of individual cores, poor methods for maintaining donor and specimen IDs, the inability to carry out robust core specific image analysis, and no database to store and retrieve core images and data. However, all of these hurdles can be address with Visiopharm’s TMAworkflow™ – a powerful quantitative digital pathology solution for Cancer Research.
This webinar will show the complete workflow for analyzing whole slide images of Tissue Micro Arrays. A demo will be given of how to use the TMAworkflow™ to de-array a virtual slide image, manage the cores, perform automated analysis, and report and review results.
About Our Speaker
Dr. Lars Pedersen is Director of Sales, Stereology and has been with Visiopharm for 12 years. He has written image analysis codes for the R&D department, written documentation, taught users to use our software, headed the Professional Services team, and for the past 5 years he has been involved mainly in activities related to sales – both in the area of image analysis/digital pathology and in stereology.
