Wanted: Academic Anatomic Pathologist With Subspecialty Interest In Digital Pathology
Assistant/Associate Professor of Pathology (tenure or non-tenure track): The Department of Pathology of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) is seeking to hire a faculty person board certified/eligible in Anatomic Pathology, with a strong academic interest in digital pathology. The successful candidate will be based primarily at Shadyside Hospital of the UPMC health system and will be a member of the division of Pathology Informatics. The successful candidate is expected to develop an academic profile in pathology informatics and pathology imaging. The clinically related duties include participation in optimizing our emerging digital pathology system for primary diagnostic sign-out of cases in surgical and cytopathology, with secondary clinical sign-out in one of our subspecialty centers of excellence (see website of the Dept. of Pathology, University of Pittsburgh;http://path.upmc.
Individuals would be provided with support to develop their academic agenda and their clinical mission. The Department provides exceptional informatics, academic and research resources that would also be available for translational research endeavors.
