Huron Digital Pathology to Feature New Whole Slide Scanners at USCAP
Waterloo, Ontario – March 10, 2015 – Huron Digital Pathology today announced that it will feature two new whole slide scanners at the upcoming 2015 USCAP Annual Meeting. The exhibit portion of USCAP will be held March 23rd to 25th at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston. Huron will be located in booth #414.
The TissueScope LE120 is a versatile whole slide scanner designed for medium-volume labs. With automatic setup and non-stop operation, it continuously scans up to 120 slides in brightfield at 40X magnification. The LE120 features Huron’s unique slide holding system, which accommodates a wide variety of slide formats from 1” x 3” to whole mount up to 6” x 8”. Each of the scanner’s 10 slide holders can be loaded with different size slides for maximum flexibility. To optimize workflow, the LE120 can be paired seamlessly with Huron’s TissueSnap preview station, a scanning accessory that works with the scanner to offload time consuming tasks such as preview scanning and batch pre-processing.
The TissueScope PE is an easy to use desktop brightfield scanner capable of imaging two 1” x 3” or one 2” x 3” slide. The scanner offers the sharp, clear image quality of our TissueScope LE and the new TissueScope LE120 in a smaller size.
“We are proud to expand our line of whole slide imaging products to address a broader spectrum of needs in digital pathology,” commented Réda Fayek, CEO of Huron Digital Pathology. “We believe our TissueScope family offers a compelling and unique combination of best-in-class image quality, scanning versatility, and workflow efficiency for clinics, hospitals, and research facilities.”
