Founder and CEO Abhi Gholap presented to a full house at Pathology Visions Sunday, introducing DPA members to OptraSCAN’s On-Demand Digital Pathology system—a first of its kind in the industry.
OptraSCAN is leading a disruptive digital transformation in the practice of Pathology and global Precision Medicine with its “On-Demand Digital Pathology” platform that was presented during a pre-conference workshop at Pathology Visions in San Diego, on Sunday October 1st. OptraSCAN’s mission is to enable better patient care and global access to high quality physicians and treatment, through the globalization of Digital Pathology. Not until now, has a platform been available to do just that. Through the “On-Demand Digital Pathology” program, pathologists, oncologists, surgeons and technicians can work together, and will have immediate access to tissue images from any location, in real-time. OptraSCAN is aiming to revolutionize the way pathologists interact with each other, and the way they interact with patients, to ultimately provide a best-in-class protocol for cancer diagnostics and research.

The “On-Demand Digital Pathology” system is a “pay-per-use” service that provides a turnkey, total solution for digital pathology that includes Whole Slide Scanners, Live View Mode software for frozen sections and fine needle aspirations, Image Management and Telepathology software for viewing, archiving and consulting on digital images and metadata, cloud-based HIPAA-compliant LIS software, and Image Analysis tools for breast, prostate and brain.
Through this special announcement, OptraSCAN is offering fifty (50) On-Demand Digital Pathology systems with a 3-month complimentary trial, to Pathologists registered with the DPA.
Pathologists can now experience an OnDemand model for pathology workflow, similar to the likes of global consumer service companies with On-Demand applications like UBER, Netflix and AirBnB.
