Nikon and OptraSCAN Announce Strategic Partnership to Accelerate Adoption of Affordable Digital Pathology in North America

MELVILLE, N.Y. and SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 30, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Nikon Instruments Inc., innovator of advanced optical instruments and OptraSCAN®, the leading on-demand digital pathology solution provider today announced a strategic partnership to accelerate adoption of affordable digital pathology in the North American region. As part of this collaboration, Nikon will distribute OptraSCAN’s Brightfield and Fluorescence whole slide imaging scanners with capacity from 1 to 120 slides, as well as integrated TelePathology and artificial intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML)- based analytics solutions.
OptraSCAN® On-Demand desktop scanning systems are cloud-enabled and provide the ultimate flexibility for storing, archiving and managing digital images and metadata.
