AUO Subsidiary AUO Display Plus Presents Premium Medical Imaging Solutions to Enhance Value-Added Applications in Smart Healthcare Vertical

BY Erica Goodpaster

AU Optronics Corp.AU Optronics Corp. leverages its group and partners’ profound software and hardware integration capacity and teams up with AUO Display Plus, AUO’s subsidiary specializing in industrial and commercial display-based solutions, to showcase eight solutions in three major aspects, namely smart surgery, medical inspection, and healthcare management at the Healthcare+ Expo Taiwan 2021 from December 2 to December 5.

With leading medical display technology at its core, ADP collaborates with ecosystem partners including ADLINK, aetherAI, Cypress Technology, JelloX Biotech, and MedicalTek to exhibit its strength in premium medical imaging solutions as well as software and hardware integration.

Smart Surgery Imaging Solutions Enhancing Surgery Workflow and Efficiency

The needs of premium medical display-based solutions to visualize highly integrated medical information have rapidly grown. To solve the issue where images in traditional operating rooms are displayed separately without integration, ADP and Cypress Technology jointly launch the Operating Room Imaging Solution that enable the recording, capture, transmission and display of images in the operating room. ADP 55-inch, 4K UHD medical display supports multi-view and switching of multiple images. Furthermore, through the systematic integration of video signals, real-time surgery-in-process images, panoramic views of the operating room, pre-operation diagnostic images, and patient’s vital sign data can be displayed simultaneously. The goal is to help surgeons focus on surgery execution and enhance the overall efficiency of surgical procedures. The solution also supports fast transmission and distribution of images and data via cloud data management, so as to facilitate applications of remote healthcare and teaching.

In addition, ADP showcases the 3D Medical Imaging Solution to address the increasing demand for high-end medical displays. With its 3D vertical wide viewing angle technology, this solution offers physicians a wider visual range and optimum 3D image effects. Meanwhile, the High-fidelity Medical Imaging Solution leverages advanced mini LED technology, which enhances the display of fine medical image details to help physicians make more accurate judgment of tissues and lesions.

Medical Inspection Applications Enabling Precision Diagnosis

For precision pathology diagnosis, premium medical image displays are necessary for the recognition, marking, measurement, and assessment of focal signs. This highlights the value and potential of high-end visualization interfaces integrated with AI computing for pathology-related applications. To enable higher accuracy for pathology imaging, as well as the color and cell structure presentation of tissue markers with antibody dyes, ADP launches the 3D Pathology Imaging Solution, Pathology Imaging Solution, and High-fidelity Medical Imaging Solution to assist physicians with diagnosis and reading.

ADP partners with JelloX Biotech and ADLINK to launch the 3D Pathology Imaging Solution, which features ADP’s 15.6-inch 4K-resolution naked-eye 3D display and proprietary eye-tracking system that lifts the viewing angle restrictions of traditional naked-eye 3D display, and is capable of fast tracking the human eye movement. The solution integrates JelloX Biotech’s 3D digital pathology image AI analysis platform and ADLINK’s industrial computing capabilities to process patients’ specimens with AI technologies and present them as continuous high-resolution 3D pathology images with decent field of view and image quality. This solution can help physicians to quickly get hold of all vertical and horizontal pathological data for clinical decision making.

The Pathology Imaging Solution jointly launched by ADP and aetherAI can turn pathology images on cover glasses into digital image files through aetherAI’s aetherSlide digital pathology system that includes teaching, researching, and clinical applications. With ADP’s 27-inch 4K A.R.T. (Advanced Reflectionless Technology) medical display featuring proprietary A.R.T. technology and an ergonomic eye-protecting design, the true colors and characteristics of pathological sections can be realistically presented without being affected by ambient lighting in the environment. This can help medical personnel make more precise diagnosis and treatments. For diagnostic imaging applications in radiology, ADP launches the 21.3-inch A.R.T. medical diagnostic display to enable precision medical imaging and allow medical staff to view consistent, realistic medical images, anytime, anywhere or on any platform, and make more accurate medical judgments.

Healthcare Management Achieving Efficient Operation Through Visualization

Responding to various needs of hospital workflow management, daily operation monitoring, contingency response, and operational efficiency, ADP launches the Hospital Control Room Solution that features large video walls with AUO Care’s integrated data dashboard built-in. The solution helps hospitals build a customized and centralized control room system through data integration and visualization, allows hospital personnel to keep track of important information in real-time, and improves decision-making and operational efficiency.

With advanced healthcare display technologies at the core, ADP follows AUO’s dual-axis transformation strategy, Go Premium and Go Vertical, and actively promotes smart healthcare solutions integrated with AI, edge computing, and IoT technologies. ADP also collaborates with partners in the healthcare industry to develop comprehensive solutions that seeks to increase efficiency, heighten precision, and improve doctor-patient relations, as well as create more value for healthcare vertical and medical professionals. In the future, ADP will continue to build cross-sector alliances with healthcare ecosystem partners and enable a new era of smart healthcare through complementing, cooperating and co-creating with each other.

ADP and Cypress Technology jointly launch the Operating Room Imaging Solution; multiple high-end medical images can be displayed through systematic integration of video signals and further enhance the overall surgical efficiency.
