Indica Labs Announces Launch of High Dimensional Analysis Module for the HALO® Image Analysis Platform

BY Erica Goodpaster

Indica LabsAlbuquerque, NM, 8 April, 2025 – Indica Labs today announces the launch of the High Dimensional Analysis module for the HALO® image analysis platform. This exciting new functionality for customers in the life sciences enables advanced phenotypic characterization and spatial analysis as well as the exploration of highly multiplexed datasets in either brightfield or fluorescence.

The High Dimensional Analysis module empowers exploratory analysis of cells or objects across whole slide images using a suite of tools for dimensionality reduction and unsupervised clustering. The module includes the UMAP dimensionality reduction technique and K-means and PhenoGraph clustering algorithms and can be used in conjunction with any cell- or object-based analysis HALO module, such as Highplex FL and Multiplex IHC.

Adam Smith, Chief Commercial Officer at Indica Labs, commented, “Having high dimensional analysis capability natively in the HALO platform will help researchers explore and understand complex datasets faster. The interactive link between the UMAP and the image analysis markup is a critical feature that enables seamless investigation of results and will ultimately accelerate discovery in immuno-oncology research.”

The advanced functionality of the High Dimensional Analysis module is intuitive and easy to learn. Customers have access to a wide range of features, including adjustable hyperparameters, to investigate results and fine tune analyses. UMAP dimensionality reduction was chosen for its ability to preserve global structure and its analysis speed on larger datasets.

Dr. Anne Hellebust, Director of Product, Life Sciences at Indica Labs, commented, “Combined with HALO’s powerful multiplexing modules, our customers now have a complete toolkit for extracting meaningful insights from highly multiplex datasets that will enhance their research efficiency.”

The High Dimensional Analysis module is now available in HALO 4.1. To learn more about the module and to see a live demonstration, register for Indica Labs’ upcoming masterclass webinar on High Dimensional Analysis in HALO® that will take place on Thursday, 10 April at 8:00 PDT | 11:00 EDT | 16:00 BST. Alternatively, reach out to info@indicalab.com to schedule a software demonstration or to activate a trial.
