PhenoMap – Multiplexing to the Next Dimension
June 27, 2018
1:00 PM CEST & 6:OO PM CEST
The tumor micro-environment plays an important role in the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment regimens that patients receive. As such, understanding the specific changes in the immune-oncology (I/O) milieu presentation for tumors is key to developing novel therapeutics, new treatment regimens and ultimately increasing the survival and long-term prognosis for cancer patients.
Imaging the tumor microenvironment has inherent problems as there are many different types of immune cells to identify. In order to increase the number of biomarkers that can be analyzed concurrently, novel technologies such as spectral fluorescence and imaging mass cytometry have become more mainstream tools for data acquisition. These novel technologies require new ways of exploring and visualizing data as conventional image analysis tools are too complex to use given the number of potential results from multiplex assays.
Phenomap is a new module for the Oncotopix platform that simplifies the analysis of high parameter data by providing the user with easy to use tools to automate the classification and visualization of datasets generated using fluorescence, hyperspectral fluorescence, IMC and MIBI instrumentation.
