Pathology Practice Advisors, LLC Has Expanded Services
For the last two years Pathology Practice Advisors, LLC (PPA) has conducted over 24 Coding Compliance and Billing Performance Reviews, assisted pathology practices with insurance contract negotiations, technical cost studies, billing company performance reviews, and many other practice management issues. Unfortunately, the demands of practicing medicine and managing an independent practice leave few pathologists with the time or tools to effectively evaluate and optimize financial performance—resulting in both undiscovered problems and opportunities, and ultimate revenue loss.
Our experience with independent pathology practices stretches back to 1988. Since then, we have analyzed and worked closely with hundreds of pathology practices. Using our experience and proprietary tools, we have developed a cost effective, easily implemented solution that will objectively review the billing performance of your practice.
PPA is now pleased to offer a new service, Quarterly Report Review. For each calendar quarter, (December 31, March 31, June 30 and September 30), PPA will obtain a copy of your recent billing reports and perform the following:
- Ten Point Review to analyze insurance and patient billing performance
- Compute benchmarks and key performance indicators to compare your practice to other pathology practices, and to track your current performance to your past performance
- Investigate benchmarks and key performance indicators with unexpected variances—findings will be provided, and follow-up tracked
- At the completion of your review, we will send you a narrative explaining what we found along with the Ten Point Review and a PPA Dashboard that tracks your results
- Prepare a detailed memo to be sent to your billing company or billing department with any questions or follow up that needs to be completed
