RESPONDING TO COVID-19: Healthcare Landscape is Changing.
How will LISs and EHRs adapt to the change without becoming obsolete?
November 17, 2020 | 1:00pm ET / 10:00am PT
On November 17 at 1:00pm ET, Sunquest and API will continue its free COVID-19 virtual series with a new webinar entitled: “Healthcare Landscape is Changing. How will LISs and EHRs adapt to the change without becoming obsolete?”
In terms of functionality, laboratory information systems (LIS) have been relatively stable for more than four decades. Stimulated by macro changes in healthcare in general, including transitioning from volume to value in the era of population and value based care, and pathology or lab medicine in particular, LISs and EHRs need to adapt and respond to support these changes. The broad adoption of value-based healthcare will require radically different lab test workflow and reporting processes for systems that support the lab and the broader care continuum.
