Pathomation logoAntwerp, Belgium – July 15, 2025 — Pathomation, a leading digital pathology software solutions provider, is proud to announce the launch of a major upgrade to its cloud-based platform, My Pathomation, featuring a new subscription plan: Case Sharing & AI. This latest release combines easy case sharing between pathologists and access to an integrated suite of AI-powered image analysis tools—ushering in a new era of collaboration and diagnostic support in digital pathology.

“With the Case Sharing & AI plan, we are making advanced pathology tools and collaboration capabilities accessible in just a few clicks,” said Rudy Hovelinck, CEO of Pathomation. “We’ve removed the barriers of traditional hospital IT environments by offering the first online AI marketplace that pathologists can use without the need for complex integrations.”

The new plan is designed with practical clinical needs in mind. Pathologists can now share digital slides securely with colleagues for review, and leverage AI algorithms to assist in difficult or ambiguous interpretations. These capabilities are particularly valuable for laboratories that have invested in digital slide scanners but lack the necessary software infrastructure to share cases outside their institutional networks.

“Getting AI tools integrated into hospital IT can take years and often requires extensive resources,” Rudy Hovelinck continued. “With our cloud platform, you can be up and running and using AI in clinical routine in minutes, you can now compare AI solutions and validate AI tools more easily and faster. We are committed to democratizing access to both collaboration and computational pathology tools.”

In addition to its user-centric features, the My Pathomation platform continues to uphold the highest standards in data security and compliance. It is hosted on geo-localized, secure Microsoft Azure servers and built according to a rigorous ‘security-by-design’ philosophy. Pathomation is proud to have achieved CE-IVD for whole slide image viewing and measuring for all compatible file formats, ISO 13485 certification and is now on the path to formalise the security efforts through ISO 27001 certification, a testament to its dedication to quality and information security.

The platform’s AI menu currently includes tools for image quality control (QC), and biomarker analysis in breast and lung cancer, with more algorithms set to be added in the coming months. During the pilot phase, breast and lung biomarker tools are available free of charge, encouraging users to explore AI’s potential without commitment. Image analysis is offered on a pay-per-analysis basis, while case sharing remains unlimited under the new subscription.

The latest release also introduces updated Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Data Processor Agreement, reflecting Pathomation’s unwavering commitment to transparency, data protection, and regulatory compliance.

“Digital pathology is not just about viewing slides remotely,” said Rudy Hovelinck. “It’s about enabling smarter diagnostics through intelligent, connected tools. That’s the future we’re building with My Pathomation.”
