Last month I made mention of Leica Biosystems release of two new customer apps for immunohistochemistry education and reference. Since that time, I have had more opportunity to download and work with the App on my iPhone and iPad.
Simply put, if you are doing any immunohistochemistry work, this is a very helpful (and free) app. The app since using it more is complete with antibody listings, organ systems/panels, WHO classification for some hematopoietic neoplasms, short webinars, lectures and disease descriptions with pertinent clinical, diagnostic and immunohistochemical profiles with high quality images. A very nice, easy to access, easy to use app for everyday use and an excellent use of Pathology 2.0 technologies!

The mobile app, available for iPhone, iPad and Android, is an educational* tool which includes an antibody citation index of now more than 100 antibodies with continuous updates and an extensive IHC image library. Healthcare professionals in the field of surgical pathology and diagnostic immunohistochemistry can now access antibody lecture series and educational webinars available in concise 10 minute podcasts. All videos can be streamed or downloaded and viewed in both full portrait and landscape orientations.
