The Department of Pathology in the Laboratory Medicine Program at the University Health Network and the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time Academic position as the Director of Pathology Informatics at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. The anticipated start is September 1, 2014.
Duties will include IT networking, database interfacing and software development in the area of image analysis. Minimum requirements include a PhD degree in electrical engineering and extensive experience in digital pathology programming and applications as well as familiarity with slide scanning technologies and Laboratory information Systems. The successful candidate will have an academic appointment in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, University of Toronto, at a rank consistent with academic qualifications. The salary ranges from $100,000 – $125,000 per annum plus benefits.
The successful candidate will have a permanent fulltime position (37.5 hours per week) in a large academic laboratory faculty with diverse diagnostic expertise.
