Location: Melbourne Australia OR Vista, CA OR Buffalo Grove, IL
We have an exciting new role for an entrepreneurial individual with a software mindset to drive new product strategy launching new business within business across Leica Biosystems.
This will be a very cross-functional role, working with internal employees across the various Business Units and Selling Units within Leica Biosystems and with our customers to expand our business line. You will ensure that product contributions to Leica Biosystems product line are maximized through, on time product releases, achievement of revenue, profitability and growth targets.
The Product Manager, Healthcare Applications is someone who can:
Own and manage Leica Healthcare Applications Product Roadmap across Business Units (BU)
Work with BU projects to create User Requirements for Leica Application modules
Manage relationship and negotiate product direction & time lines with product managers from products utilizing Leica Apps
Own the business case for Leica Apps roadmap, managing priorities, getting budget approval
Champion Leica Apps to project teams
Support Applications Development Team
Provide access to customers and/or subject matter experts to perform usability / user acceptance testing
Provide input and direction to development team to help define and clarify requirements and resolve feature implementation priorities
Manage Commercialization of Leica Healthcare Applications
Explore models for obtaining budget from programs
Explore / define sales model for Leica Applications (individual applications, suites of apps etc.)
Work with marketing team to develop appropriate marketing activities to support roll out of Leica Applications
Required Skills/Experience/Education
Bachelor degree, preferably in science or engineering with an understanding of software solutions
Strong Product management experience with a strategic focus
Experience with Product and /or Project management or development
Exceptional communication and written skills
High levels of initiative, self-motivation and energy
Highly analytical
Project management skills
Understanding of healthcare environment
Commercial acumen
Desired Skills/Experience
Anatomical Pathology market experience
Background in clinical diagnostics field, in particular histopathology
Post-graduate degree in Marketing
Experience with FDA and other regulatory bodies related to software products
Lean Workflow experience
Location: Preferred location is Melbourne, Australia,
Secondary location in US would be Vista, CA or Buffalo Grove, IL
Travel: 40%+ of the time
