Software Architect

Location: Tampa, FL

About this Position:

The ideal candidate for this position has a strong background in developing software client-server solutions in the image processing domain. The software architect is responsible for defining the architecture which encompasses both software and hardware and all components necessary to provide a total product solution. The software architect is familiar with Agile/Scrum and all phases of software development.

Job Description:

The Software Architect will analyze software, hardware, and system development needs and translate the analysis into product creation plans and specifications. They will work with customers, stakeholders, and developers to capture and refine system, hardware, and software requirements.   The Software Architect will execute software development tasks with a focus on architecture, requirements, and integration of the system(s). They will ensure technical aspects of system, architecture, design, integration, and test are effective and appropriate.

Overview of Tasks:

  • Establish system configuration and software architecture
  • Elicit and refine system and software requirements
  • Identify and integrate software items
  • Participate and perform product risk management
  • Establish an integrated framework of software tools supporting the development process
  • Assist in defining the software development and production strategy for the product.
  • Assist with customer facing documentation to ensure that product documentation is created, technically accurate, up to date, and compliant with regulatory and quality system requirements
  • Ensure all software activities conform with the quality management system and if needed propose and implement improvements
  • Coach and mentor junior software development personnel.
  • Responsible for requirements traceability
  • Responsible for technical aspects of software test planning
  • Ownership of product / system performance
  • Translate Matlab to C++ as required, and lead real-time optimization effort
  • Participate and initiate analysis and intelligence of pertinent software technologies, competitors in all software areas, and latest technical developments and trends
  • Participate in product change management ensuring investigation and impacts are thoroughly addressed
  • Participate in design reviews providing technical oversight

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering with 5+ years of C++ development, software and systems architecture experience
  • Experience in real-time implementation and optimization of image processing algorithms using C/C++
  • Strong algorithm development skills in the field of image analysis
  • Working knowledge of MatLab with experience in image processing and signal processing
  • Demonstrated software technical leadership, preferably with commercial imaging or medical applications
  • IDE (Microsoft Visual C++) and RMT experience
  • Experience in automated testing tools, integration, and techniques
  • Experience in client-server applications, and knowledge of deployment strategies (VM, standalone)
  • Experience in implementing systems performing computationally intensive operations over large data, preferably some hardware accelerator (GPU) experience
  • Experience working in high computation systems Hadoop, JBoss etc…

 

LIS Integration Specialist

Location: Tampa, FL

About this Position:

The ideal candidate will be a polished professional who will manage expectations and over-deliver for complete customer satisfaction. The LIS Integration Specialist will provide onsite support to Comprehensive Cancer Centers to integrate LIS systems with Inspirata’s solutions for End to End Digital pathology workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, manage and execute installation plans, integration steps and on time delivery schedules
  • Clearly communicate plan with technology experts, Customer IT, LIS vendor rep, pathology lab personnel and senior stakeholders
  • Responsible for successful on-time implementation and customer acceptance
  • Complete documentation as required regarding project status
  • Integrate Philips services with LIS & IMS using Orion Rhapsody
  • Create detailed implementation planning and monitoring
  • Testing and validation of installed systems
  • Workflow mapping and requirements gathering for all classes of HL7 messages

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Masters or Bachelors’ degree in Medical Technologies/Health Informatics/ Basic Sciences/BioTechnology
  • Must have experience with Sunquest, CoPath or Cerner systems
  • Certifications from EPIC Beaker, CPSI and other vendors desirable
  • Certifications from affiliated professional organizations
  • Hands on experience onsite of at least 5 years at prominent Hospitals and Laboratories
  • End to end installs, upgrades, integrations and validations in Histopathology Laboratories
  • Knowledge of clinical data, architecture, patient management systems, controlled medical vocabularies, DICOM, HL7, IHE Workflows, and SNOMED.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A positive and result-focused “can-do” attitude.

Travel:

Minimum 50% travel to customer sites for system integration
