DPA Announces New President & Board Representatives
Congratulations to Eric, Junya, Michael and Kevin for their recent appointments to the DPA Board!
The Digital Pathology Association (DPA) is pleased to acknowledge Dr. Eric Glassy of Affiliated Pathologists Medical Group (APMG) as the Association’s President in 2017. Dr. Glassy was elected to the DPA Board in December, 2010 and has since served as the Chair of the Pathology Visions Program Committee as well as on various other DPA committees and taskforces. With the assistance of Dr. Glassy, the DPA intends to further facilitate and explore education, best practices and awareness of digital pathology applications in healthcare and life sciences.
The Board also recently added its first international representative, Junya Fukuoka, Professor at the Department of Pathology, Graduate School of Biomedical Science, Nagasaki University. Other additions include Michael Quick of Hologic, and Kevin Whiteley of Leica Biosystems. With more potential representatives in the process of being vetted, the Board of Directors is focused on increasing it diversity both geographically and culturally.
